A month full of events!

The film is one of the results of the “POLONEZ – Beyond Core-Periphery Debates:
New Member States in the Construction of EU” project, which was implemented between 2017 and 2018. Its first part focuses on global and national trends related to the waterfronts transformations. In the second one, we are moving to Gdańsk, Tczew, Grudziądz and Gniew, to compare the ways in which they develop their waterfront areas. In the film, we can see, e.g., some comments from prof. Iwona Sagan and prof. James Scott. Dr Jakub Szlachetko is then the guide to the places we visited with the camera. The work on the film was coordinated by dr Klaudia Nowicka.

The film is available HERE, and below you can see some photos from the premiere screening of the documentary.

The topics of the RECOURSE seminars were in turn: football graffiti in the study of human territorial behavior, different imaginaries about the Vistula river, as well as Polish borders as a resource – between cultural heritage and tourist product. They were held, respectively, on the 27th of March, 3rd and 10th of April and were very happy to have an opportunity to hear presentations by dr Piotr Trzepacz (Jagiellonian University in Kraków), prof. Joanna Angiel (University of Warsaw) and prof. Marek Więckowski (IGIPZ PAN).
